Abbott Laboratories in on the Cruelty Free Investing animal use list due to its use of animal testing.
It now owns St. Jude Medical, Inc. which designs tissue heart valves that are prepared from animal or human tissues. The tissue typically comes from a porcine (pig) heart valve or bovine (cow) cardiac tissue.
